Communications Anite pushes channel simulator to 160MHz for 802.11ac

Anite has launched an 802.11ac capable stand-alone channel emulator with continuous 160MHz bandwidth support.

“802.11ac phase one products support bandwidths of up to 80MHz, resulting in data rates of up to 1.3Gbit/s. Phase two of the 802.11ac standard supports both 160MHz continuous and 80+80MHz bandwidths, and is expected to provide data rates of more than 3Gbit/s,” said the firm.

The 160MHz support comes from the latest upgrade to Anite’s Propsim. “This capability enables wireless equipment manufacturers to verify higher data rates as well as implement advanced 802.11ac features such as multi-user MIMO and beam-forming,” said Anite.
