Business Warren East joins Dyson

Warren East has become a director of Dyson a couple of weeks after joining the board of Micron.

“Dyson is a bit like ARM really they’re two UK companies that compete on a global scale representing British engineering and design – and being good at it,” East told the FT.

The Dyson CEO told the FT that East could take a long view ahead in the technology industry and that was what he hoped East would bring to Dyson.

East was CEO of ARM for 12 years in which time he gradually extended ARM’s pervasion of end markets from its core mobile handset market into the microcontroller, consumer, server and computer markets.
